The Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française (DELF) A2 exam takes place at the Alliance Française de Paris.

Presentation

The DELF A2 is a diploma granted by the French Ministry of National Education. It certifies French skills at A2 level. The diploma is valid for life.

This diploma is recognized throughout the world, and allows you to develop both your personal and professional French skills.

Practical Information

This exam is reserved for adults (18 years old minimum), and it is mandatory to present an original identity document for all parts of the exam.

Also, you can take the exam as many times as you want, provided that you respect a minimum waiting period of 45 days between two sittings of the same level.

Program

The DELF A2 consists of 4 tests:

  • Oral comprehension
  • Written comprehension
  • Written production
  • Oral production

The minimum score to obtain the diploma is 50 out of 100. It is imperative to obtain a minimum of 5 points out of 25 per event. A score of less than 5 in one of the skills assessed is eliminatory.
